Here our youth go again........ being the hands and feet of Christ!

Our Epworth SWAT Ministries is planting several gardens this

year.... about 1600 sq ft of gardens. We'll be planting lettuce, carrots, celery, onions, beans, tomatoes, zucchini, squash to name just part of the garden.

As our Epworth Youth, facilitated by our 2009 Confirmation Class, begin harvesting their crops in the months to come, the fresh vegetables will be going to The Beach House, The Friendly Center and several other community shelters as well as to other community members and families who need extra help with their food budgets. We realize that fresh vegetables are expensive......... so our Son Rise Gardens will be feeding those who are in need. Talk about being the hands and feet of Christ..... that's exactly what our Son Rise Gardens will be doing!

One Son Rise Garden is at Scott Lenz at 4802 Sandle Wood Court, near McCord and Brint. 

The other garden is at Jeff Knowles' at 3454 Orchard Trail off Central Ave near Westgate.

The youth facilitators at Lenz' Son Rise garden are Erin Baughman and Paul Fisher.   The youth facilitator at Knowles' Son Rise Garden is Emily Richards.   PLEASE call these youth facilitators to let them know when you can help and serve at one of these Son Rise Gardens.
