Epworth Student Ministries Fund Raising
Individuals, families and companies spend money continuously on groceries, clothing, toys, entertainment, travel, gifts, gas and diesel for cars and trucks, as well as their favorite restaurants and coffee shops. Our Epworth Student Ministries has joined the Great Lakes Scrip Center which serves non-profit organizations and major retailers to create innovative fundraising programs for non-profits. Founded in 1994, Great Lakes Scrip Center (http://www.glscrip.com) has rung up nearly $5 billion dollars in sales while raising more than $300 million for non-profit member clients.
Here's how it works:
We have assembled a large number of area merchants from whom we purchase various denominations of Merchant/Gift Cards through the Great Lakes Scrip Center. You purchase Merchant/Gift cards with a SWAT Merchant/Gift Cards order form, choosing the retailers and the amounts of the cards you desire to purchase. When you purchase a $50 Merchant/Gift Card - you receive full $50 value when you spend your Merchant/Gift Card at your chosen retailer, restaurant, department store, discount or sporting goods store, travel, grocery, home decor, home improvement and specialty retailers. You get dollar for dollar value for the Merchant/Gift cards you obtain through our fundraising program.
So how do we create fundraising for our Epworth Student Ministries? We are able to purchase the Merchant/Gift cards at a 1-17% discount when we obtain them through the Great Lakes Scrip Center. Again, you receive a Merchant/Gift card for exactly the same amount that you purchase and then spend at the respective retailer and we receive the discounted price that we are able to purchase the Merchant/Gift cards. That adds up to be a Win-Win scenario for all of us!
° There is no minimum or maximum limit to your weekly or monthly purchases. We place our weekly order every Sunday evening.
° When you place your order on a SWAT Merchant/Gift Card Order Form and turn it in on a Sunday with your personal check for the total amount of Merchant/Gift cards you are purchasing, we'll then have those purchased Merchant/Gift Cards waiting for you on the following Sunday or we can even arrange to get your purchased cards to you - especially if you need them before Sunday.
° Please make your checks payable to Epworth Student Ministries with "Merchant/Cards" in the check memo line.
° Order forms can also be turned into the Epworth Office during routine Monday thru Friday office hours or give them to Bob Knowles or Chuck Campos or any of the SWAT Counselors.
